Working with Jennifer Rogerson was one of the biggest blessings about our entire home search and home buying process. We could not have been luckier to have been saved by her after dealing with a very pushy realtor prior to that. When we first started looking we were contacted by Katie as she was the person representing the property, though it wasn't the right one for us, she let us know she is from the area and to let her know if we wanted to see anything else. We made at least 5 or 6 trips to the Conejo Valley on weekends to look at places. I always just sent her what I wanted to see and she would like it up. Katie made it so easy and was upfront about what was realistic. She also was totally flexible when it came to timing as we have a toddler which can add a whole different challenge to house buying. Once we found the home we wanted, Katie went into high gear and didn't miss a beat, the whole time remaining calm and cool and keeping us looped in every step of the way. We only had a few days to get our place ready to sell and Katie and the whole team at LGRS, including Lydia herself, were there for us. They helped us get ready to sell, submit an offer, magically sell our home to the first buyer who saw it, at $13k over asking!!! The whole team kept us updated weekly with what was happening and what to expect next. Katie specifically was always available by text or phone at all hours of the day/night/weekend to answer and any all questions we had. She also met us (and once our tile guy) numerous times at the new property so we could get measurements, take pics or even just to see it one more time. We feel lucky to have found Katie and also thankful for the I know it is not always easy to buy and sell at the same time, but having Katie to walk us through it was the best experience we could have possibly hoped for. professionalism and kindness she and Lydia's whole team brought to this transaction. We just completed a very difficult double transaction, buying and selling with a contingency and a 1031 exchange all at the same time as well as a Trust Sale. Everything went as smooth as silk. Kevin Minn went to bat for us on the items that were needed for repair as well as staying in constant communication with us through the entire thing Both Kevin and Lydia were very patient with us and my Mom who is 87 years old and selling her home that she had lived in for 60 years. It is a pleasure for me to provide this review of Lydia Gable and her realty group. We sold and bought our primary residences through Lydia Gable in the year 2022. Both the homes are in Westlake Village. Needless to say, both the transactions were very successful and closed within 30 days of contract signing. Our search for a suitable home took us to Westlake Village, Agoura, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Santa Rosa Valley and Palos Verdes peninsula. During the entire six months of the search, Lydia was with us all the way. She recommended many homes to us in our local area. She also unhesitatingly visited the homes that we saw on our own. She was very patient, never pushy, and always advised us to wait for the right home. It was the time when bidding wars were common and she cautioned us not get carried away overbidding for a home or settle for a lesser home that did not meet fully our needs. Once we found a suitable home, she moved quickly and was very helpful in determining the appropriate bid price, saving us good amount of money. She was very successful in conveying our strong motivation and stronger finances to the selling agent. Once the contract was signed, Lydia Gable team was very professional in rapidly scheduling all the inspections that we requested. Lydia was present for all the inspections so that there were no surprises when we moved in. The home closed quickly with no surprises in escrow. Once our new home was bought, Lydia and her team were exceptional in getting our old home ready for viewing within six days of us moving out which also included staging. She recognized that speed was of essence as the interest rates were climbing and the market was cooling rapidly. Her team coordinated all the activities with precision. She was very successful in buying a cash buyer within 15 days of home hitting the market and closed the sale within 29 days. Unfortunately, with much fewer bidders than during the hot sellers’ market, we sold the home for $50,000 less than what we thought was a fair list price. Finally there were many minor repairs that needed to be attended to in both the homes. Lydia’s team included contractors on call that came quickly to conduct the repairs. My wife and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Lydia and her team (including Katie Yazdanyar on our purchase) both with respect to the sale of our Calabasas home and the purchase of our "forever home" in Thousand Oaks in 2021. Lydia and her team embody professionalism and competence. Never did we feel that we weren't Lydia's absolute top priority -- not just being responsive, but being proactive and often times Lydia and her team were providing us wise, patient, and skillful counsel before we could even formulate our questions. There are real estate "salespersons" out there -- but there are few skilled real estate professional businesspersons in this Southern California market. I must say that I have always read reviews with a bit of skepticism (e.g., was this a paid reviewer, a friend of the business, a serial reviewer, etc.) and I embarrassed to say that I have probably only bothered to leave a positive or negative review for a business on 5-10 occasions in my life. And to be clear, before 2020, I had no prior relationship with Lydia and I did my own research on local agents in the area before deciding with whom to establish an agency relationship. I have bought and sold 3 other homes and I did not think for one moment about hiring one of the former agents that I had worked with. I could not imagine working with some other than Lydia or Katie in the future -- especially in this region (Calabasas, Agoura, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, etc.) You can always choose someone because you like their photo on a bus bench or a shopping cart --- or you can do your own research and find someone who will advocate for you and serve you with passion and purpose.
